# How do you connect a Vendor Central account to Nova?

Source: https://novadata.io/docs/getting-started/connect-vendor-central
Checked against Nova's code on 2026-10-29

An admin of your Nova organization picks the region and the country of the Vendor Central account, signs in on that country's Vendor Central site and approves Nova. Each Vendor Central account covers one country, so a brand selling in five countries makes five connections. Nova loads your history, checks it against Amazon's own sales report, and emails you when your workspace is ready.

## Where do you start?

- **First sign-up**: at the SP API Integration step, each region has two buttons. Click **Vendor Central**.
- **Later**: Settings, Organization, Amazon connections, then **Connect an Amazon account**, or the **Add account** row of the Filters panel.

Only an Admin of the organization can connect an account. You do not need a Seller Central account.

## What does Amazon ask for?

1. Choose the **Country of the Vendor Central account**: the country it was opened in. Amazon shows the consent on that country's Vendor Central site only; another country's site offers a sign-up instead.
2. Sign in with a Vendor Central user who has the **Integration, API Integration** permission.
3. Approve access for Nova. It is read-only, and you can revoke it at any time from Vendor Central.
4. Back in Nova, **Name this Vendor Central account**. Amazon gives Vendor Central accounts no name, so this is the one your team will see. You can rename it later from Amazon connections.

Once one country is connected, Amazon connections lists the brand's other countries your Amazon Ads login can see, each with a **Connect** button that opens the right country's site.

## What about advertising?

The Advertising Integration step works as for Seller Central, with one rule: sign in with the Amazon login that manages this Vendor Central account's advertising. A login that only sees Seller Central advertising is refused. Nova links the Ads profile of the account's country once your sales history has loaded. See [Connect Amazon Ads](/docs/getting-started/connect-amazon-ads).

## What happens after you connect?

| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Load | Nova loads your Vendor Central history: 2 years of sales, traffic and inventory analytics, 24 months of remittances, 12 months of purchase orders and invoices, 6 months of shipments |
| Check | Nova compares the units it loaded with Amazon's sales report, day by day, and opens the account only when they match |
| Open | The account turns **Active**, Nova emails you that your workspace is ready, and the free trial starts |

Invoices, shipments and remittances can keep loading for a few hours after the account opens. See [History depth](/docs/your-data/history-depth).

## How is 1P different from 3P in Nova?

| | Seller Central (3P) | Vendor Central (1P) |
|---|---|---|
| Consent site | One per region | One per country |
| One connection covers | The region's marketplaces | One country |
| Account name | From Amazon | You name it |
| Live orders | About 20 seconds after the sale | No order feed: sales, traffic and inventory from Amazon's hourly real-time reports |
| History on a trial | 3 months | Everything loaded |
| P&L | Sales, fees and refunds | Sell-in: what Amazon bought from you, at the invoice date, less Amazon's deductions |
| Listing Health | Every check | No buy box, hijacker, undercut, not buyable or incomplete checks: Amazon is the seller |
| Listing edits | When Nova turns them on for the workspace | Not available |
| DSP cost in the P&L | Yes | Not yet |

1P and 3P accounts can sit in the same workspace. The **Channel** filter then splits the figures into **Amazon 1P** and **Amazon 3P**.

## How do you re-authorize?

In Settings, Organization, Amazon connections, choose **Re-authorize** on the account, and sign in on Vendor Central with a user who has the API Integration permission. Your data and history are kept. Use the Vendor Central button: Nova refuses to re-authorize a Vendor Central account through Seller Central.
