What a virtual multipack is

A virtual multipack sells two or more units of the same single-pack product as one offer. Amazon fulfills it by picking that many single units from your existing FBA stock, so you pack nothing differently. Unlike a bundle, it never mixes different ASINs.

Each multipack gets its own ASIN, a SKU starting with VMP_ and showing the pack size (for example 2_PK), and a title such as "Pack of 2". It appears as a variation of the single pack. Five checks before November 11

Find them: In Manage All Inventory, filter for VMP_. Allow 48 hours for a listing to look complete.
Check the price: A pack of two defaults to twice your single-pack price. Set a multipack discount if you want one.
Check the stock: Each order draws several units from the same single-pack inventory, so a Q4 spike drains it faster.
Edit in one place: Use only the Edit virtual multipack page. Flat files, the API or other tools break the listing.
Decide before deleting: A deleted virtual multipack cannot be reactivated during the pilot.

Who this mostly affects

The pilot covers FBA brand-owned ASINs with strong demand for multi-unit purchases, and FBM listings are not part of it. If you sell the same product through FBA and FBM, only the FBA offer can get a multipack. Pack size cannot be changed once created, so a pack of three that does not fit your pricing is better deleted than left running.

Keeping stock and margin in view
