Amazon has no MCP server for Seller Central. Its official one covers Ads. To let an assistant read your seller account you connect a server built on the Selling Partner API.

Setup

Connecting Seller Central, in four steps

Authorise once, then ask questions you would normally export a spreadsheet for.

  1. 01

    Open Claude, go to Settings then Connectors

    In Claude, open your profile, then Settings, then the Connectors tab. Works on the desktop app and on claude.ai.

    Click Add custom connector

    In the Connectors panel, click Add, then Add custom connector. If you do not see the option, check that you are on a Claude paid plan.

What you can ask today

What it will not do

  • Change a price, a bid, a listing or an inventory setting. Nova MCP is built for analysis, not account changes.
  • Access another seller's account. Credentials are per account and revocable.
  • Read data Amazon does not expose to the Selling Partner and Advertising APIs.
  • Replace Seller Central itself. Case management and account settings stay there.

Seller Central MCP questions

Not for the full Selling Partner API. Amazon ships an official MCP server for Amazon Ads, AWS Labs publishes MCP servers for AWS services, and the community publishes thin SP-API wrappers. None of them returns a reconciled seller P&L.
Through the Selling Partner API. You authorise a registered developer application against your seller account, the provider pulls and models the data, and the MCP server exposes that model as tools your assistant can call.
Because a single margin question then needs orders, settlements, fee lines and ad spend fetched separately and reconciled inside the prompt. That is 8 to 20 calls, a large token bill, and a number that is usually wrong. The joins belong in the data layer.
Any MCP-capable client: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and developer clients such as Cursor. You bring your own AI account, Nova provides the endpoint and per-account credentials.
