Amazon ends FBA prep and labelling in Canada, effective July 1

Effective July 1, 2026, Amazon ended prep and labelling services for FBA shipments in Canada. Sellers must now prep and label every unit themselves or through a third-party provider before inbound. Any shipment created after July 1 that arrives unprepped is still received and shipped, but Amazon has withdrawn reimbursement protection on units damaged or lost in the process. It is a new cost line, a compressed vendor-selection window, and a policy change that lands inside a broader pattern of Amazon pushing operational responsibility back onto sellers.

Amazon Listing Quality Dashboard now reshaping ASIN organic rank

Ecommerce Times reported on July 1 and 2, 2026 that Amazon's updated Listing Quality Dashboard is actively moving organic rank and Buy Box eligibility on real seller catalogs. The dashboard scores every ASIN across six components, and a new Attribute Completeness Score is the operationally new lever. Early field data from Kenji ROI shows ASINs scoring below 65% dropping an average of 4.2 organic positions in three weeks. Grocery, health, and beauty sellers are reporting a new Buy Box suppression status tied to listing quality below 60%. Backend attribute hygiene just became a same-week task.

Amazon FBA storage fee overhaul now live, corridor tightens H2

Amazon's revised FBA storage fee schedule took effect July 1, 2026, and Ecommerce Times reported the same week that the changes are forcing sellers to rerun inventory math for the back half of the year. Standard-size units now cost $0.87 per cubic foot Jan-Sept and $2.40 per cubic foot Oct-Dec. The aged-inventory surcharge triggers at 180 days rather than 271. Long-term surcharges climb toward $6.90 per cubic foot after 365 days. The low-inventory-level fee still bites under 28 days of cover. The optimal band has narrowed on both ends.
