Sessions vs Page Views
Essential Amazon seller metric for growth
A Session is a unique 24-hour visit to your listing by one shopper. A Page View is every detail-page load in that session. If a shopper opens the parent listing, clicks through two variations, and comes back to a color swatch, that is one Session and four Page Views. The ratio tells you how deep shoppers browse.

Page Views per Session = Page Views / SessionsYour parent ASIN had 1,200 Page Views and 400 Sessions in a week. Page Views per Session is 3.0. On a variation-heavy listing (shoes with 8 colors) 2.5-3.5 is normal. On a single-SKU listing 1.2-1.5 is normal. A jump to 4+ often means variation confusion — shoppers are hunting for the right size or color and not converting.
| Tier | Range / Signal |
|---|---|
| Good | 1.5-3.0 — shoppers finding what they need quickly |
| Average | 3.0-4.0 — variation-heavy listings, normal browsing |
| Watch out | 4.0+ — shoppers may be lost or the listing needs clarification |
