How does Nova convert currencies?

Nova converts every amount from its marketplace currency into your organization's primary currency, at the exchange rate of the day of the transaction. The conversion happens once, when the data lands, so a past month keeps the same value when rates move later. The owner can add up to four secondary currencies, converted when you view them.

Which exchange rate does Nova use?

Nova reads daily rates from Fixer, a foreign exchange rate service, every day at 02:00 Paris time. It converts through the euro: an amount in pounds becomes euros, then dollars, with both rates from the same day.

Each amount takes the rate of its marketplace day. A sale made in the evening of 3 March in the US takes the rate of 3 March, even though it is already 4 March in UTC. See Time zones.

Worked example

A UK sale of ยฃ100 on 12 May, with Fixer's rates for that day of 1 EUR = 0.85 GBP and 1 EUR = 1.13 USD, and a primary currency in dollars:

ยฃ100 รท 0.85 ร— 1.13 = $132.94

The sale stays at $132.94 in your May P&L, whatever the pound does in June.

What stays in the marketplace currency?

Search Query Performance prices (the median price per search query) stay in the marketplace's own currency, because they describe the market rather than your sales.
